If you haven't noticed, I like eyeshadow... and I love eyeshadow palettes. (Like 143 4Eva- beeper codes and all). I have been noticing that I've been neglecting a lot of them and so I have decided to to go through the pack and reminisce.... and for some of them, actually use them. That's pathetic. To have a new palette unused sitting there? That's ridiculous. Any who, this look has been deconstructed to see if it helps anyone out there. If it does, I might just do some more. So, let's open this post up and see the easy steps to get this Alternative to the Gold/Copper Smokey eye for the rest of the summer. :)
So this Chocolate Bar... I will happily post a more in depth opinion on it. For the time being, all write this: it's popular for a reason! It smells so good. The shadows are beautiful and pigmented. There's little to no fall out and the colors melt into your skin, in the most beautiful way. I would not want to use this on clients, but only on me. I'm obsessed with some of the colors in it, like the olive color, aka Gilded Ganache I used, and salted caramel? To die for. I love it.
For this look, I numbered out the shadows and how I applied them:
1. White Chocolate - with a blending brush under the brow and over my lid. I like doing this when I have to set my concealer or the eye primer.
2. Salted Caramel - with a blending brush all over the crease. I tend to love warmer mid-tones.
3. Semi-Sweet - more densely in the crease with a blending brush
4. Gilded Ganache- over the lid with a shader brush. I packed on there really tight.
5. Triple Fudge - on the outer-V
Last Steps: Smoke out the bottom lash line with Semi-Sweet and Triple Fudge. (Semi-Sweet 2/3 of the bottom outer corner and semi-sweet just about a third or so). I used Mary-Lou Manizer as my inner-eye highlight.
Then I added Maybelline Gel Liner in Blackest Black and MK Lash Love. I can't use lashes too much, lately, I just realized that I may be allergic to the latex in Duo. Just ordered new lash glue, until then, mascara will have to do.
